The Ballad of Nessie

Directors, Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton, along with Producer Dorothy McKim will present an intimate look at "The Ballad of Nessie", Walt Disney Animation's latest and recently theatrically released short film. This award winning team will talk about how the mythical story of the Loch Ness monster started out as a student film in 1994, created by the studio's first female director, Stevie Wermers-Skelton and immediately charmed John Lasseter at their initial meeting where he re-instated the animated short film program at the Disney Studio. The team will share the original student film and discuss the creative philosophy behind why it's important to produce short films among the studio's features.
