To celebrate the 75th anniversary of animation in advertisements, the Museum of Animated Commercials is presenting some of the most outstanding ads to be seen around the world.
Some of the most entertaining moments of television include animated commercials that date back to 1941, with the first directed by Otto Messmer, creator of Felix the Cat.
Since then, the medium has evolved in the hands of talented animators and filmmakers, such as Richard Williams, Jan Pinkava, John Stevenson, Pierre Coffin, John Kricfalusi and Bill Plympton.
Rather than just focusing on the history of the medium, this retrospective programme celebrates the brilliant talent and out-of-the-box ideas of those who have elevated it to an art form and takes the spectator to the intersection where the art of communication meets the communication of art.
