Come and meet Gilles Paris, author of the book which was adapted into the multi-award-winning film My Life As a Zucchini.
My Life As a Zucchini, directed by Claude Barras, was a favourite for many festivalgoers and juries. Most notably it won the Cristal for a Feature Film at Annecy 2016. Gilles Paris’ autobiographical novel tackles the painful issue of foster care, through the eyes of a child forced to grow up in an adults' world. The result is a real ray of sunshine with sensitivity, mischief and tenderness.
A journalist and subsequently a writer, Gilles Paris has light and fluid penmanship, whose touching realism will touch your consciousness. Find out more about the author.
Rush over to the La Librairie Imaginaire bookshop to discover his new book, Le Bal des cendres, released in April 2022, as well as his other works at his book sale after his meeting.
