Let’s catch up with the Animatou Festival!

As part of the tribute to Switzerland for this 2022 edition, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival is honoured and thrilled to present the Animatou Festival’s programme to the public, which includes 10 films and 13 Swiss artists.

"We are thrilled and honoured to have been asked by the Annecy Festival to present a Carte Blanche as part of the huge Swiss animation tribute that the most important international animation film festival is presenting this year.

Among Swiss animation’s richness and diversity we settled on a selection of 10 films from the last two decades, created by the current biggest names in Swiss animation, including several films that have international recognition.

A wide variety of techniques and dynamic storylines are covered.

From a compelling minimalist graphic approach to animated documentary, all the creative potential of animation film is showcased.

We would like to warmly thank all the directors for their creations and their participation in this project.

We hope you all enjoy the Festival and the screenings.

This programme will be preceded by a trailer My Main Friend, created in 2022 by students from the Haute École d’Art et de Design de Genève, studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication, during a workshop led by the Portuguese Director Regina Pessoa."
