Carte blanche to Isabelle Favez (Swiss Animation Tribute)
Isabelle Favez is a Swiss animation film director whose films have toured many festivals and won numerous awards.
During her career, the director quickly specialised in animation for young audiences and made several short films including Circuit marine (2003) and Tarte aux pommes (2006), award-winners at several international festivals. In 2019, her special TV short film Zibilla was screened as a world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival’s 69th edition.
Her latest project, the TV special for children, Giuseppe, is in competition at Annecy this year in the TV Films category.
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival has the honour in welcoming Isabelle Favez to this Carte blanche dedicated to her career, and there will be a Q&A session with the public at the end of the screening.
