Jan Kounen and Animation: At Last!
The protean director, Jan Kounen, (99 Francs, Blueberry, etc.) is back with an ambitious film based on the comic book by Ludovic Debeurme, Epiphania.
Epiphania is Jan Kounen's first animation film, a fantastic tale echoing the ecological and social crisis of our time. He chose animation to be the best medium to express this fantastic story. Jan Kounen will host a discussion on the making of this feature film, produced by Naïa Productions, Cinéma Defacto in association with Umedia, and made by the Mac Guff studio. French distribution will be handled by Eurozoom and international sales by WTFilms.
Jan Kounen will reveal a first look at footage from the animation in production. The director will talk about his professional career, his work with virtual reality animation and more broadly about the process involved in adapting a comic book into a film.
