French Animation: The Mirror Effect – The Best from Schools
Head of International Outreach at DreamWorks, Shelley Page has extensive knowledge of French graduation films, which is why she was cut out for the job of creating this programme.
Each year, Shelley Page builds relationships with professors and students, watches dozens of films, gives feedback and sources new talent. She has therefore developed a deep understanding of recent production from French animation schools, which made her the ideal culprit for creating a programme dedicated to French graduation films.
Fifteen films produced in the past fifteen years make up the programme that she’s concocted. These films came out of nine different schools, vouching for the exceptional diversity of France’s training programmes.
You may recognize names like Arthur de Pins, Benjamin Renner, Alexandre Heboyan or Julien Bisaro among the filmmakers represented in this programme as they’ve gone on to create a buzz in the real, professional world.
