Adventure into the heart of the Himalayas on the giant screen with this adaptation by Patrick Imbert, based on the manga by Jirō Taniguchi and the novel by Baku Yumemakura.
Climb. Climb further. Always higher. And then?
In Kathmandu, the Japanese reporter Fukamachi, thinks he sees Habu Jôji, the mountaineer that everyone thought had disappeared years ago. He seems to hold a camera in his hands that could change the history of mountaineering. What if George Mallory and Andrew Irvine were the first men to reach the summit of Everest on 8th June 1924? Only the little Kodak Vest Pocket camera with which they were supposed to photograph themselves with on the top of the world would be able to tell the truth. 70 years later, to try and solve this mystery, Fukamachi sets off along Habu’s tracks. He discovers a world full of enthusiasts yearning for unreachable conquests and decides to go with them on an ultimate journey to the summit of the gods.
