Plot
"We cannot speak other than by our paintings" (from the last letter Vincent Van Gogh wrote before his death from a bullet wound, age 37).
"Loving Vincent" brings Vincent’s own paintings to life: the portraits of the people around him in the last years of his troubled life, to investigate the mysterious circumstances of his death. All of the 56,800 frames in the film are oil paintings brought to animated life.
