Jean-François Laguionie will be here in person to present his new feature, accompanied by Dominique Frot, the voice actress of the main character.
Louise, the latest 2D animated painting film by Jean-François Laguionie, is holding its world premiere at the Annecy Festival.
Delicate poetry is the best way to describe this feature about Louise, an old lady who misses the last train and gets stuck in a deserted seaside town at the end of summer. The weather quickly turns, the high tide comes in and cuts all electricity and any mode of communication. To survive, Louise must master natural elements and solitude. Memories come flooding back during her adventure and an unexpected companion comes along.
Dominique Frot, the voice actress who plays Louise, will be joining the filmmaker at the screening. Laguionie, a regular in Annecy – where several of his short and feature films have been in competition and won awards – is also holding an exhibition at the Musée-Château: "The Poetic Worlds of Jean-François Laguionie".
So you’re invited to discover his world on the screen as well as experience it through his exhibition.
