Wiktoria Pelzer, Film Programmer at Crossing Europe Film Festival, has composed a selection of sounds and images to pay homage to her favourite art, animation.
While reflecting on what inspired her about French animation, two ideas came to mind: the utopias and dystopias found in different films, as well as a colourful pop culture that was often based on political topics.
"Frankly, I could not resist including a bit of everything. So the programme combines many ideas that I appreciate in film, and in animation in particular: the past and future, the different rhythms that structure our world, as well as experiments and very precise movements."
With this patchwork of films, Rhythm, Chaos and the Universe, Wiktoria Pelzer invites you "to concentrate, tap your feet, laugh and be fascinated by the worlds that these artists have created".
