Modest Heroes

Yoshiaki Nishimura, founder, CEO and Producer of Studio Ponoc, is not only doing us the honor of being a jury member for the 2019 edition of the Annecy Festival, he is also bringing a packed suitcase with the first three creations of the Ponoc Short Films Theatre, Volume 1 – Modest Heroes. A triptych of short films that explore, each in their own way, the theme of everyday heroism. To be discovered in the French premiere screening.

The underwater adventures of two sibling crabs who follow their father’s footprints, as he was carried off by the current after an unfortunate accident. Oh how the world can seem vast and dangerous to two such tiny little crabs!

Shun is an 8-year-old boy who has a serious allergy to eggs. His mother takes enormous care to enable him to live a normal life, yet left alone the danger increases.
