The second installment of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ global success is revealed to festival-goers, along with three never-before-seen short films!
Five years after the release of Frozen, the magic continues to circulate around the world and the dazzling universe of the Arendelle kingdom keeps inspiring dreams.
After a sneak-peak trailer was released at the end of 2018, and the first major trailer released this February, Walt Disney Animation Studios – and most importantly Becky Bresee, Head of Animation, and Marlon West, Head of Effets Animation – will show the first images of Frozen 2 to a handful of lucky festival-goers, several months before its official release date in theaters on November 20th, 2019!
At the helm is the team who were behind the saga’s first installment, including the Oscar-winning Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, Producer Peter Del Vecho and Oscar®-winning composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. This second installment carries the promise of being equally meticulous and outstanding.
And that’s not all! The animation studios will also reveal, in a world exclusive and in the presence of their directors, three animation shorts created for the experimental programme Short Circuit: Just a Thought by Brian Menz, Exchange Student by Natalie Nourigat and Jing Hua by Jerry Huynh. Created in 2016, the Short Circuit initiative provides the opportunity to Disney employees to unleash their talent with the studio’s support. What more could you wish for to encourage styles, narrative and technological exploration in animated film!
A presentation that promises to be rich in emotions!
