A chainsaw-wielding George Washington invites you to take another look at America’s history as you’ve never seen it before!
The story of the American Revolution is revisited and revised with a smattering of superhero magnitude to give America: The Motion Picture!
Synopsis: A chainsaw-wielding George Washington assembles a team of rabble rousers – including beer-loving bro Sam Adams, famed scientist Thomas Edison, acclaimed horseman Paul Revere, and a very pissed off Geronimo – to defeat Benedict Arnold and King James in the American Revolution. Who will win? No one knows, but you can be sure of one thing: these are not your father's Founding… uh, Fathers.
The film is directed by film Matt Thompson (Archer), produced by the duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and distributed by Netflix.
A not-to-be-missed animated head trip!
Just as the sun goes down, the Annecy Festival takes on another persona with a select handful of screenings… the audience has been warned! The Midnight Specials programme is the opportunity to show daring, off-beat, and revealing content…
