Madame Souza adopts her little nephew Champion and is in despair because he isn’t interested in anything. One day, she discovers that he is hiding photos of the Tour de France and its champion cyclists. She gives him a tricycle. A fatal move. She will pursue him in a breathtaking chase in Belleville, an imaginary city in Northern America, to get her nephew back. Laughter and tears guaranteed.
Directed by Sylvain Chomet in 2003, The Triplets of Belleville was a massive hit and received numerous awards and nominations. It most notably won the Étoile d’Or for Best French Feature Film in 2004.
