Even Mice Belong in Heaven

Even Mice Belong in Heaven is a French-Czech co-production, directed by Denisa Grimmová and Jan Bubeníček, that the Annecy festivalgoers had the honour of discovering in a premiere screening at a Screening Event in 2021!

During the exhibition organised by SNCF Gares & Connexions and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2021, maybe you were one of the lucky travellers who was able to admire what went on behind-the-scenes to make this animation film.

If that's not the case, we invite you to come to the film’s presentation on the big screen! Last year’s travellers are also invited to discover or rediscover this film overflowing with hope and love, which tackles subjects like friendship, the ability to question yourself, and breaks down prejudices.

Two mortal enemies, a little mouse, Whizzy, and a kind fox, Whitebelly, after an unfortunate accident, meet in animal heaven. They lose their natural instincts and become best friends. Their wish to stay together after they return to earth comes true, but they are reborn into opposite roles. Thanks to the power of friendship they will overcome what seems to be impossible.
