Jorge R. Gutierrez is a Mexican director and scriptwriter, known for his work on animation films such as The Book of Life (2014) and Maya, and the Three (2021). He is also an accomplished artist after working in a variety of mediums including painting, illustration and comic books. The director is often praised for his distinctive visual style, which combines traditional Mexican images with contemporary pop culture. It is no surprise that he was chosen to design the Festival 2023’s official poster!

He is already captivating the public with his richly detailed, multicoloured illustrations and there’s no doubt that the Mifa Campus patron will captivate the theatre audience too!
