The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story

The exclusive world debut of The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story, an original short film from Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Imageworks' new mentorship program, "Leading and Empowering New Storytellers" (LENS), which aims to provide high-potential candidates from underrepresented groups an opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience.

Through the program, the studios identify four candidates from both inside and outside of their existing crews who will dive headfirst into creative leadership positions and work together to make an animated short film.

The event will be presented by program Creators/Producers Michelle Raimo Kouyate and David Schulenburg, joined by the inaugural LENS filmmaker group, who created the short: Jarelle Dampier (Director), Khaila Amazan (Writer), Clara Chan (VFX Supervisor) and Joe Darko (Animation Supervisor).
