Animation in French-Speaking Africa – Movin’ On Up!
Cameroon, the Ivory Coast and Madagascar: as Annecy welcomes an African feature film for the first time in competition, discover the films and series in the pipeline in 3 key French-speaking countries.
One film: The Sacred Cave, in competition at Annecy 2023.
Three projects: an Ivorian feminist feature film, a Madagascan preschool series and a Camaroonian fight series.
Two training courses: the academy for 17 studios in Abidjan and the official announcement of the travelling Pan-African Animation Workshop.
The panel is coordinated by the Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), with the Camaroon Institut français, the EU and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
