The spirit of a film about Shaun goes back to the 1980s when Aardman Animations hired Nick Park to help direct the "Wallace and Gromit" shorts. Shaun made his debut in 1995 in the third episode, "A Close Shave", where he ends up "shorn". William Becher, Lead Animator at Aardman takes us behind the scenes to show how his work takes shape to give a clearer understanding of how to handle puppets in stop motion.

Pierre Coffin is someone who knows how to convey emotion. His visual gags are intended to be simple and the characters he creates have the gift of making people laugh. His animals and creatures carry the message that with time, a lot of effort and a bit of talent, it is possible to move an audience. Here, he takes a look back over his life and career, and explains how he came to make a film with Illumination Mac Guff, a subsidiary of Paris-based Universal Studios, one of the world leaders in animated features.

Paul Chung began his career in animation and visual effects in 1981 in London and has worked on such films as "Space Jam" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for Warner Brothers. He joined DreamWorks in 1999 and returned to London in 2011 to work with Framestore before ending up at MPC. He tells us about the animation industry and how to get into it.

This is Weta Digital's first visit to Annecy, represented by Oscar nominated Eric Reynolds, who has been working in animation since 1997. Today, he is Animation Supervisor with Peter Jackson's special effects company, which he joined in 2005 for "King Kong". Reynolds talks about his experience in special effects working on Avatar directed by James Cameron as well as Peter Jackson's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Hobbit".
