Animation in Advertising: A True Art Form – Eddy & Psyop
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of animated commercials, the Annecy Festival is giving prominence to ad savvy studios like Psyop and Eddy. Ever since their creation, they’ve been producing a variety of impressive styles and techniques, always executed in sophistication.
Founded in 2001 by five artists, Psyop is a creative content studio with a simple mission: to Persuade Change and Influence people by crafting compelling content that audiences seek out and share. This animation studio has been celebrated for its groundbreaking work that has earned Emmys, Lions, and Annies.
Psyop specializes in telling stories and designing with meaning for any screen or medium, and has now expanded to studios in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, where they create commercials, shorts, VR experiences, games, web series, VFX, and feature films. The studio has also made lots of commercials, which is why they’re being highlighted in the programme dedicated to advertising at the Annecy Festival.
Eddy is an animation production studio that specializes in advertising. They’ve won several awards for their animated ads, but also for their digital productions, music videos and short films.
Located in Paris, this studio has done spots for major brands, including la Fnac, Biocoop, L’Occitane and San Pellegrino.
