Selection Committees

Annecy International Animation Film Festival selection committees are composed of film professionals from diverse backgrounds and with wide-ranging experience, offering a treasure trove of valuable perspectives.
The selection committees are coordinated by Maud Ahmadnia, the Festival's Programme Planning Manager.
All final decisions are made by the Artistic Director, Marcel Jean, after consultation with the selection committees.

The Festival’s History

Read through the history of the Annecy Festival, from its beginnings in the 1960s with the Jica and Asifa; the creation of Cica; the economic dimension of the event and the arrival of the International Animation Film Market (Mifa) in the 80s; the Festival's flourishing years in the 2000s and the creation of CITIA.

Masterclasses

The Masterclasses are unique conversations with a leading figure from the animation world.

Shorts & Breakfast

Every morning, from 8:30 to 9:45 am, directors of the short films in competition share a privileged moment discussing their films.

The Festival Extras
