With the support of the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Département de la Haute-Savoie, the Drac Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the CNC, CITIA, organiser of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, supports creation through a residency for animation feature film graphic development.

Every year, over 400 journalists attend the Annecy Festival and the Mifa, and contribute to the event and animation industry’s international standing. Annecy is the place-to-be to discover the latest animated creation and meet all the talents behind them.
In June 2020 CITIA launched the arts residency "Graphic development for animation feature film" to assist creation.

This year, the International Animation Film Festival will pay tribute to Portuguese animation. There will also be a DANCE theme, a new non-competitive section ANNECY PRESENTS in the programme, as well as offering a special venue for fusing animation, immersive creations and gaming in one XR&GAMES area.
